I thought it was about time I shared my heart behind my family seasonal mini sessions. Picture this - a quick, fun, and effortless way to capture your family's essence without the hassle of a full photo session. Sounds too good to be true? These styled mini sessions are a perfect way to preserve this season of you and your littles!

What is a family mini session? It is a 15 minute styled photo session, at a designated location to capture you and your family! These are short & sweet & perfect for the whole family!

I recently read a quote that stated, “Family photos aren’t for ‘now' you. They are for you in 20, 30, 40 years time. Think about that!”

As someone who has been photographing families for almost 6 years now, I know first hand how important family photos are. They can be stressful, or overwhelming with the fear of how to pose or what to wear. That’s why I’ve created these seasonal mini sessions. These mini sessions are a perfect way to preserve this season of your family!

Here are my top 3 Reasons Why I Offer Mini Sessions:

01. Mini Sessions are short!

This is one of my favorite things about mini sessions, is that they are quick! Like 15 minutes quick! This is perfect if you have a little one who has never had their pictures taken before, husbands who don’t appreciate their photos being taken like you do, or maybe you just want a few updated photos for your home! I also think this is a great opportunity to introduce your little ones or family to getting their photos taken!

Mini Sessions also allow my clients to have a little idea of what it is like to work with me! Maybe you’re just not ready to take the leap on a full family session - No problem! These 15 minute of shooting isn’t a ton of time, but I love to get to know my clients by sending them questionnaires before our shoot! By the time we shoot together, we know each other a little better and we aren’t just strangers.

02. Mini Sessions are more affordable!

Affordability without compromise! I totally understand that you may have a budget or maybe you’re on the fence of investing in a full family session! Mini sessions allow you to get a handful of beautiful images, while still staying on budget for your family photos!

Maybe you are in the season of just wanting a christmas card photos or some updated photos of you and your family for your home! My mini sessions come with 5 edited images, with the option to purchase additional images or the entire gallery! Most of my families can’t choose just 5 and decide to upgrade to have access to their entire gallery!

03. Mini Sessions allow my families to experience seasonal opportunities & styled creativity!

Mini sessions allow for seasonal themed photoshoots, making them ideal for really any season! Now, you may be thinking that styled photoshoots are cheesy, and trust me, I believe some of them are! But with my mini sessions, I love to embrace the natural beauty and seasons that Oregon offers us!

For example, at my Spring Mini Sessions we shoot at the most beautiful location filled with cherry blossoms trees! Although I haven’t “styled” the cherry blossom trees, I love helping my clients with outfit planning and deciding what to bring to make their mini session unique to them! Some of my favorite mini sessions I’ve hosted is Spring Motherhood Minis, Summer/Fall Minis, and Christmas Barn Minis!

I love being able to host family mini sessions every year! It’s so important to me to provide these short, affordable, and seasonal mini sessions for mothers and their families in my home town!
