MY INTIMATE WEDDING AT MARY’S PEAK

March 21, 2020

March 21st, 2020 was one of my most favorite days! Mitchell and I got married on top of Mary’s Peak, with our family, on the most beautiful day. The day was perfect.

We drove up to Mary’s Peak around 3pm. We wanted to find the perfect spot to have our ceremony before our family would arrive around 4:30pm. As we drove up, I saw an area to pull off and noticed an open field that overlooked the mountains. I said “I think this is it.” We got back in our car to drive up to the trailhead. I wanted to scope out the trail to the top to see if there was another spot, but I kept thinking about that field. So we drove back down, and when I looked at that open field, I knew we were getting married right here.

Our family just arrived and I was so happy to see them! The bathroom was a mile up the road so most of took a pee out in the woods before our ceremony started ha! Everyone walked down to the field, while my sisters helped me put on the dress, shoes, & veil. I put a touch of makeup on and called it good. :) Once I was finished, my grandpa patted my hand and walked me own the “isle” which was really just an isle of prickly dry grass!

As tears run down Mitchell’s face, i couldn’t help but think about the last 3 months of dating. Yes i know, only 3 MONTHS! We felt like we had known each-other for a lifetime!

We said our “I Do’s” to each-other and sang a worship song! Such a special moment — giving him all the glory! We gathered a few family photos and when they left, we decided to say our personal vows to each-other. Sweet, sweet, intimate vows. This was one of my favorite moments. Declaring our love & devotion to each-other. Afterwards, we snapped a few sunset pictures of us and once the sun went down, we drove to corvallis to grab Bo & Vine!

That’s our love story in a few paragraphs! Our wedding couldn’t have turned out more intimate & special.
