WEEKLY ROUNDUPS: WE BOUGHT A HOUSE

Happy Friday, Friends!
It has been a while since I’ve check in and shared a weekly roundup blog post with you all. This month has flown by, as I’m finishing my wedding season & getting ready for our baby boy to arrive any day now! And guess, what? We bought a house!!
1. We Bought A House!
I still can’t believe it. We are homeowners, again! My heart is SO happy! Here is our story:
One of the greatest accomplishments my husband & I have accomplished over the last year, Is pay off all of our debt. We don’t use credit cards, but had a total of $46k in car loans. So last summer we came up with the idea of selling our home, paying off our debt, renovating a trailer, and traveling to decide on where we wanted to settle down. In the fall, we put our house on the market and with a bidding war, our house sold. Our last day at our house, was December 1st, 2022 and that was the day we found out we were pregnant.
So we sold our home in Dec 2021, and moved into our little trailer on my in-laws property in hopes to find a bigger travel trailer to renovate. By mid December, my morning sickness had worsened and since Georgia was starting to walk, I felt like we needed more space. We decided to move into an apartment, paid off our auto debt, all while being pregnant with baby no. 2 and searching for another home.
It’s funny how we ‘think’ we have these set plans for our lives and the Lord re-directs us to where he wants us to be.
We found a beautiful cottage farmhouse, one story home with a little over 3 acres of trees & pasture. And guess what? It’s just a mile away from our old house! We were able to put 20% down so we didn’t have to pay mortgage insurance, and still have enough to invest in making our new home move in ready.
God has blessed us more ways than one and continues to show how much he loves us, daily!
Dave Ramsey has had a huge play in our finances and it has blessed our family so much. Maybe, I’ll share more on this soon.
I can’t wait to see how this house turns into our home! I’ll be sure to share the transformations and projects on here with you!

Well, we are less than two weeks away until baby boys due date. We have our hospital bags packed, and here I’m sharing a few of my must-haves.
